- ABOUT ME
Eriselis Pizarro
I believe therapy is a collaborative space to make sense of the challenges that impact our daily lives. My approach is grounded in a Person-Centered  foundation, with a focus on building genuine connection, understanding, and trust. As an intern, I want to continue to develop my use of CBT and solution-focused techniques to support meaningful, practical change, always aiming to meet clients where they are.
I take an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational techniques to support each client’s unique needs and goals. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and affirming environment where clients feel seen, heard, valued, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey. I believe in building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, authenticity, and cultural sensitivity, while recognizing and respecting the diverse identities,  and lived experiences that clients bring into the counseling space. I view therapy as a space where individuals can show up authentically without fear of judgment and feel supported as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and personal growth. I work with clients experiencing concerns related to stress, anxiety, identity development, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and other personal concerns. Through a strengths-based lens, I aim to help clients recognize their resilience, deepen self-understanding, and build confidence in their ability to cope, heal, and create meaningful change both within and outside of therapy. Through the use of CBT informed techniques, I help clients develop deeper insight into their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and interpersonal patterns.Together, we focus on what you want to get out of therapy, and I integrate different approaches to support insight, build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and encourage growth in a way that fits your unique needs and lived experience.
