As a supervisor, I offer direct, behaviorally-focused guidance rooted in Trauma-Sensitive Behavior Therapy (TSBT), acknowledging the profound impact of past experiences on present functioning. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles with a nuanced understanding of trauma, emphasizing the development of adaptive coping mechanisms and skill acquisition. Drawing from my background as a former first responder, I bring a practical, resilient perspective to our work, recognizing the inherent strengths within each supervisee and client. I actively guide and steer our supervision by collaboratively identifying specific behavioral targets and implementing evidence-based interventions, always with an eye toward safety, stabilization, and empowerment. While direct in my feedback, I also cultivate a humanistic supervisory space built on mutual respect and genuine curiosity, fostering an environment where growth and self-discovery can flourish. Our sessions will be a blend of structured behavioral analysis and compassionate inquiry, ensuring that both clinical rigor and individual well-being are prioritized. Ultimately, my goal is to equip you with the expertise and confidence to effectively treat complex trauma, leveraging behavioral principles within a truly sensitive and supportive framework.
