- ABOUT ME
Ann DeAngelis
If you are here, chances are you are looking to work through a challenging period in your life. This can be one that may have already ended or is still ever-present. You’ve now made this first step towards seeking an avenue towards healing. I believe every person deserves a safe place that allows for emotional expression, free from societal pressures that seek to stifle your unique patterns of healing, thinking, and presenting yourself to the world. Countless systemic issues can affect your life and threaten your self-concept; I aim to create a space where you and the obstacles you are facing may receive the attention they deserve. We can create a safe environment for you to connect with your thoughts and emotions, to try and get back in touch with the goals you have for your life, and to work towards forming manageable plans about getting you where you want to be through an eclectic approach utilizing Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed Therapy.I am passionate about working with those who are transitioning into adulthood or young adulthood. I offer both Telehealth and in person sessions. Receiving therapy doesn’t have to wait until you feel as if everything is falling apart and you can’t find the pieces.
What do you do for fun?
In my free time you can find me at a thrift store or doing some sort of art project from ceramics, sewing, or restoring antique furniture.
What makes you weird?
My aesthetic choices tend to make me stand out. You will find me with various creative pairs of earrings ranging from fruit to abstract art hanging from my ears.
What do people (e.g. clients, peers, friends, family) say about you?
My family and friends would describe me as reliable, compassionate, inquisitive, and a planner as I tend to be the ear for my friends and family to talk to and I always have a spreadsheet to plan out the next event or vacation.
