- ABOUT ME
Pearl Brusuelas
There is so much for us to navigate in the human experience, it can be helpful to have some support. Understanding the way social systems construct identity and influence our experience is central to my work. I focus on this through, prioritizing a Social Justice and LGBTQ+ lens while learning about your unique background, experiences, and needs. I like to contextualize your individual experience by understanding what formative memories shaped your emotional processing and personal values. Through that foundational information, we can begin to work together to help you navigate: conflicts in relationships, periods of transition, the processing of traumatic events, any grief you may be experiencing, and general life processes. To me, therapy is a collaborative relationship built on respect, trust, and care. I hope to provide you with a safe space to explore your values, desires, and passions so you can live in alignment with your greatest sense of joy!
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy hosting dinner parties for friends, making collages or art mixed media art, going to movies or galleries, spending time outside. Anything that helps me enjoy art, time with loved ones, or the great outdoors!
What makes you weird?
I love collecting tiny trinkets to decorate my home with. Bonus points if they are Hello Kitty or horse related.
What do people (e.g. clients, peers, friends, family) say about you?
The people close to me would say I am nurturing, dependable, compassionate, intentional, and curious. I am often the friend that hosts gatherings or provide a listening ear when friends are going through moments of conflict or transition.
