- ABOUT ME
Anushta Mishra
My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered—I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen and heard. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), cognitive-behavioral techniques, and a trauma-informed approach to help clients navigate anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. I see therapy as a space for self-discovery, where we work together to make sense of your experiences and build a life that feels more authentic to you.Having worked closely with the South Asian community, I understand the complexities of cultural identity, family expectations, and intergenerational trauma. Many of my clients struggle with the weight of guilt, perfectionism, or feeling caught between cultures. In therapy, I help unpack these experiences with compassion—honoring your cultural values while empowering you to create boundaries, self-acceptance, and a path that feels right for you.
What do you do for fun?
I love getting lost in movies—whether it’s a cozy rom-com, a psychological thriller, or an animated classic. When I’m not doing that, you’ll probably find me exploring new cafés, attempting to cook without setting off the smoke alarm, or having deep conversations about the most random topics.
What makes you weird?
I have an irrational fear of accidentally sending a text to the wrong person—so I triple-check every message like my life depends on it. Also, I talk to animals like they understand me (and honestly, I think they do).
What do people (e.g. clients, peers, friends, family) say about you?
People often say I make them feel comfortable enough to be their real, unfiltered selves. My my clients appreciate that I truly get where they’re coming from, and my family thinks I overanalyze movie plots—but in an endearing way!
