- ABOUT ME
Olivia Smith
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey built on trust, respect, authenticity, and grounded in the belief that each person is the expert on their own life. My goal is to create a space where curiosity and humility can lead to profound personal growth. My approach to therapy is humanistic. I draw on and integrate Cognitive Behavioral, Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed, Strengths-Based, and Motivational Interviewing strategies in my practice with teens and young adults. While I bring evidence-based knowledge and clinical training to our work, I also believe that every client teaches me something new about resilience, healing, and the many ways people create meaningful change. I value the opportunity to grow alongside my clients, recognizing that the therapeutic relationship is a true partnership. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, or ADD/ADHD, I will be committed to this journey with you to offer guidance, support, and evidence-based tools as you discover what healing and growth look like for you. Along the way, we will celebrate progress while honoring the inevitable challenges that come with change.
What do you do for fun?
I really enjoy watching sports. I grew up in Pennsylvania and root for all Philadelphia teams. Football season is my favorite. Go Birds!
What makes you weird?
I abbreviate many words that aren't commonly abbreviated, and then expect people to understand what I'm saying. For example, coffee is coff, literally is litch, ketchup is chup, and dry shampoo is obviously dry shamp.
What do people (e.g. clients, peers, friends, family) say about you?
One of my closest friends said, "Liv is always down to laugh. She holds space to beat a dead horse while also providing advice on how to bury it. Humor is one of her biggest strengths." Other people close to me would say I have an inherent warmth and a lot of passion for the work I do.
