- ABOUT ME
Sierra Oliver
Therapy is a place to be supported and a place to grow through whatever you’re going through. We can explore the roots of your patterns and strengthen skills in the areas where you are still growing. You might be facing friction in your relationships. You may be carrying burdens from past trauma, violence or oppression. Maybe you’ve simply noticed that your sense of yourself, your perception, your unique impact on the world or some of your identities are changing or have changed. Everyone will face fluctuations in emotional and mental well-being at some point in their lives. Life transitions or hardships can be small or monumental, but all of these experiences are deserving of support. Together we can work towards accessing more ease in the areas of your life that need your attention.
I will partner with you to help you better understand your internal experience and create goals towards change. I work in a way that’s intentional, collaborative and genuine. Society’s systems are often unjust and oppressive. I will consider the cultural and social experiences that have shaped you. Your unique experience and worldview are central. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming provider. I pay attention to the quality of our connection as people within the roles of counselor and client.
What do you do for fun?
I like to make art, write poems, adventure, travel and have new experiences. I spend a lot of time outside- both relaxing and being active.
What makes you weird?
My red hair matches my red dog.
What do people (e.g. clients, peers, friends, family) say about you?
They say I'm spontaneous, a great listener, fun and thoughtful.
What additional trainings have you completed that enhance your expertise as a counselor?
